Privacy policy

Last updated: Oct 2, 2026

This policy applies to the website, the K9LogTracer application and its Android version. It explains how we handle information when you visit the landing pages, create an account or use the service.

Responsible person and contact

Karina Rosa, the owner and developer of K9LogTracer in Argentina, is responsible for processing its data. Contact k9logtracer@outlook.com for privacy matters.

Use this contact for questions, access, correction, deletion or account issues. We will not ask for your password or full card number.

What data we store

Account and profile: user identifier, first and last name, email, phone, country, city, province, language, roles, preferences and CUIL when needed for a subscription. Clerk handles authentication, sessions and the sign-in methods you choose.

Service content: dogs and their history, certifications, sessions, scores, evaluations, observations, organizations, members, requests, notifications, operations and reviews. We also store subscription plan, status and dates, payment identifiers and technical error and security records. Offline mode stores a copy of data and pending sessions in the browser on your device.

How we use the data

We use information to create and protect accounts, apply permissions and roles, record and consult training, generate reports, coordinate organizations, sync offline sessions and manage subscriptions. It also supports answering questions, sending service notices, troubleshooting and preventing abuse.

Landing pages use measurement tools to understand visits and content interactions. We do not intentionally send your dog, training or report content to those landing page tools. Approved reviews are published with the name shown on your account.

Providers involved

Clerk handles identification, authentication and sessions. MercadoPago processes payments, tokenizes card data and manages subscriptions when you use that payment method. Our backend receives payment identifiers and tokens; the card form uses the provider’s secure fields so full card details do not reach our servers.

Vercel hosts the application and Supabase hosts its PostgreSQL database. Configured email services, such as Google/Gmail and Microsoft/Outlook, handle notices and support. Google Tag Manager loads the configured landing page measurement tools; YouTube hosts videos played when requested. Upstash may handle technical identifiers to limit requests when enabled. PagoKit was a code generation tool: it does not process payments or receive data through that integration.

Who can access information

Information is displayed according to your roles and trust and organization relationships within the service. Shared reports, approved reviews and QR verification links may display information to their recipients or anyone holding the link. Share those links only with the intended people.

Providers receive information needed for their functions and may process it in other countries under their terms and applicable safeguards. We may also respond to valid requests from authorities. Do not enter sensitive personal information about third parties in observations or operations without authorization to process it.

Cookies and data on your device

We use session and authentication cookies and preferences such as language and working mode. Offline mode uses browser storage to retain data and sessions awaiting synchronization.

Google Tag Manager and the tools configured in its container may process browsing data or use cookies; playing videos activates a connection to YouTube. You can manage cookies and storage in your browser, although clearing local data may delete unsynced offline sessions. A privacy policy does not replace consent choices required for these tools.

How long we keep data

We retain account data while the service is used or until deletion is processed. For expired unpaid trials, our deletion threshold is 90 days of inactivity, with an email notice after 60 days and at least 30 days between notice and deletion. If notice is sent later, deletion is postponed accordingly. Using the account again restarts the period.

Automatic cleanup excludes accounts with evidence of payments and accounts or records tied to organizations, operations or shared reports that need manual review. Activity is checked using Clerk’s latest session activity and profile changes; trial expiration is also considered to prevent premature deletion. Transaction records, security records and backups may have separate retention for legal obligations, incident resolution and provider cycles. Contact us for the period that applies to your case; we do not promise a uniform deletion period for every backup.

How to request deletion

Email k9logtracer@outlook.com from your account’s email address with the subject “K9LogTracer — account deletion request”. This option is available without signing in or installing the app. Specify whether you want your account and associated data deleted or only particular data. We may verify your identity to prevent someone else from deleting your information.

You can also use Profile > Delete account. If you direct an organization with other members, transfer its leadership first; if shared or operations data prevents deletion, contact us to resolve it. Cancel a recurring subscription in Subscription beforehand, or request assistance from the privacy contact. Deleting an account must not be confused with canceling a provider’s charges. Copies of reports you have shared or downloaded remain under their recipients’ control. For offline data, sync it or clear your device’s storage as appropriate.

Request account deletion

Your rights

You can request access, correction, updating and deletion of your data under Argentine Law 25,326 by emailing the privacy contact. If a request requires retaining information for a legal obligation or resolving shared data, we will explain the scope and reasons.

Argentina’s Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP) is the supervisory authority. You can consult its instructions or submit a complaint when appropriate. Identity checks needed to handle a request do not require sending us passwords.

Protecting information

The service uses HTTPS connections, authentication and access controls by user and organization. We apply security controls to protect information, although no system can guarantee absolute security.

Protect your credentials and the device where you store offline sessions. If you detect unauthorized access, an accidentally shared link or a data issue, notify the privacy contact so we can investigate.

Changes to this policy

We will publish updates on this page and change the revision date. When a material change affects how your data is processed, we will communicate it through the appropriate service channels.
